“My illustration is dedicated both to the Gladiators and the Colosseum and this choice was not random. I love to represent sports and, in their own way, Gladiators too were athletes, even though their “sport” was particularly fierce. For this reason exactly, their figures survived Ancient Rome and arrived to us today, as glorious icons of the past.”
