“In creating this illustration, I particularly focused on one of the symbols of Piazza Navona (Navona Square), the Fountain of the Four Rivers. After studying its history in depth, I immediately felt a connection with it! I love water, I love animals and I’ve always been fascinated by statues of powerful men, this gave me the chance of carefully working on every small detail of this impressive piece. I’ve tried to put together antique and contemporary drawing styles, combining them with a pinch of irony and giving the Fountain’s characters movement and life.”
